Guest scores and detailed hotel feedback
The hotel is in a very good and quiet location, about a 10-minute walk from Princess St, with no problems parking the car at an hourly rate. It allowed us to enjoy their morning preparations at 6 am. The room was clean, although in need of a good dusting, but generally clean and had all the necessary facilities for what we paid and needed.
The hotel was a good find with clean and comfortable rooms, though a bit small and dark. The service was friendly and accommodating. Its location was perfect for our needs, close to the city center and local facilities. The dining experience was average, but the facilities were adequate for a short stay.
The hotel is situated in a beautiful, quiet area with easy walking access to cafes and shops. The room, although small for a double, provided good value for the money, especially with the convenience of early luggage drop-off. The high ceilings and en-suite facilities contribute to the typical building charm.
The hotel room was decently tidy, but quite outdated, with uncomfortable furniture and a lumpy, broken toilet. Unfortunately, the room was dark and faced a mount of dirt. On the bright side, the location is convenient for exploring the city easily, but neighboring noises were bothersome. The service had its ups and downs, with unhelpful instances and helpful gestures, while the dining experience was not very welcoming. Overall, it has its flaws, but there are redeeming qualities as well.
I was lucky to find this hotel in Edinburgh with such a great location at a bargain price! The room was warm, comfortable, and had everything we needed, but the dining options were poor. The staff were friendly and really helpful, making my stay enjoyable and stress-free.
The hotel is located about a 10-15 minute walk from Princes Street and the main center. The rooms, typical for this type of building, have high ceilings and en-suite facilities, but they can feel a bit cramped once luggage is in. The nighttime lock can be inconvenient for late comings and goings.
The hotel had a private feel with dark rooms that could use a female touch. The unbearable heat throughout the night was a major drawback, even with the window open. The external bathroom added a level of privacy but was inconvenient.
The hotel offers decent rooms with necessary amenities for a short stay, though lacking in scenic views. The service quality varies, with instances of indifferent staff behavior. Its location is convenient with some parking challenges, nestled in a quiet neighborhood. The dining options are satisfactory for the price, and the facilities are adequate.
I had a comfortable stay at the hotel despite some room issues. The service was friendly and helpful, making our first time in Edinburgh enjoyable. The location was perfect for a short stay with plenty of amenities nearby. However, the dining experience was lacking, and some facilities fell short of expectations.
